"There’s a reason why this place is busy on random week days - it’s always a go-to in Hoole for breakfast or lunch, and the mini garden centre is great for exploring whilst you wait for your food. Dogs are welcome, which is handy for us. We have bought several plants from Oakells, both at the mini shop in Hoole and the much larger main garden centre 20 minutes away"

"Easily found a table on a Saturday lunch time, the customer service was great and the food absolutely lovely (we had the pastrami, emmental and sweet mustard bagel, goats cheese and caramelised red onion toasted sandwich and poached eggs on toast each with a drink which came to £35, I do wish the bagel had come with a small salad like the toastie did) The shop, cafe and garden are all fully accessible (including wheel chairs and prams). Indoor and outfoor seating areas, Reasonable prices. Nice ambiance. Will definitely come again."

"This was our second visit and the food and service wasn't as perfect as it was on our first visit. The vegan breakfast was just warm and we had to wait a while for our table to be cleared from previous visitors. We will be back and hopefully it will be back up to 5 stars"

"Love Oakells . Come here regularly with a friend . Staff are so helpful. Meals are delicious. I had the superfood salad which was plentiful . I've had the hallumi wrap too, which was also yummy . Soups are delicious, with a varied choice, flavours ice never heard of . Great shop and outdoor seating too . We will continue to dine here and fully recommend the cafe"

"I love Okells in Hoole. Cosy, dog friendly cafe where you can also shop! Win, win! Mabli and the team are so friendly and welcoming. The food is so tasty; great value and good range of vegetarian options. Both the cafe and gift shop are a welcome addition to Hoole."
